Each month you hear more and more about the green efforts and framing is no exception. Most all of the major framing product companies have created a line of moulding that is certified “tree free”. These usually consist of byproducts from the wood products industry or recyled framing ends. Be certain when you purchase that there is a seal of certification and the content of the moulding is listed.
Another product gaining popularity is Museum Class. Tru Vue is the manufacturer of this 99% UV protection glare free glass. It should be used on old family black and whites and other framed items of antiquity. Once you start using it you’ll want everything reframed with it.
